Terms and Conditions

Smoking:

Under the Smoke-Free Public Places Act 2003 smoking is not permitted within the licenced area, which includes the the interior of the club and the adjacent outdoor areas, including the greens and surrounds. Smoking is only permitted outside these areas and in the car park. Please refer to venue signage for details.

 

Privacy:

While we make every effort to ensure your function is not disturbed by other functions or the general club noise, please note that the function will be held in the general area of the Club and therefore may not be completely private.

 

Alcohol:

The Liquor Act 1992 provides for severe penalties associated with underage drinking. An individual may be asked for current photo I.D. if consuming alcohol.

No glass bottles or beverage holders are permitted on the bowling greens.

 

Function Area:

Barefoot Bowls & BBQ guests are welcome to use the Outdoor and General areas of the Belconnen Bowling Club and are welcome to use their designated green for the duration of the function. Please note that the green is not private as it may be used by other bookings being held at the same time.

 

Prices:

Barefoot Bowls prices include green hire, bowls equipment hire, and initial bowls instruction.

 

Children’s Supervision:

Children must be strictly supervised at all times by a parent or guardian.

Children under the age of 6 years are not permitted on the Greens.

 

Clothing and Footwear:

Flat soled shoes or thongs are permitted on the Bowling Greens, or function guests can play bowls barefoot, however footwear must be worn into the Club at all times. Rubber thongs can be worn into the Club before 6pm if function guests use the toilets or purchase beverages at the Bar, however proper slip on shoes or dress shoes are required after 6pm.

Neat casual clothing is required at all times with restrictions on the wearing of singlets for men and midriffs for women. Clothing that provides sun protection is recommended while outdoors and on the greens.

 

Kitchen Facilities:

The use of the BBQ facilities does not include the cleaning up costs. If catering is to be organised by the hiree, then all the cleaning must be done before leaving the premises so as that the facilities are returned to their initial state.
